It is a basket. We ask our provider for Sandygast cards, keep the dearest 10 of them, and add up their market prices in US dollars. A card counts for this species only if its name starts with it, so an Eevee and Snorlax card sits in Eevee's basket and not in Snorlax's, and a card carrying no market price is not eligible at all. It is not what every Sandygast card is worth, and it is not a figure anybody can transact on. It moves when the basket changes as well as when prices do, so a new card entering the dearest twelve will move it on a day when nothing was bought or sold.
The date above is the day this species was last written, not today. Species are refreshed least recently checked first, inside a budget that reaches about twenty of them a run, so a species at the back of the cycle carries figures that are weeks old.
