Snorlax has quietly become one of the most collected species in the hobby: a mascot with a real vintage catalog, a scarce e-series printing, and a modern fan base that clears out every plush tie-in print. We pulled live moonstone market data on every Snorlax print we track and picked the six strongest buys across price tiers. Every number below is a real TCGplayer market price or a recorded sale, pulled August 17, 2026.

Why these six

The Jungle holo is the Snorlax. It anchors every serious species collection, and its 90 day climb of 17.5% came with real volume: nine public sales in the recent window. The 30 day print is red, which is exactly why it makes this list now instead of a month ago. Read the $342.03 carefully: it is the ASK on the 1st Edition Holofoil printing. The same card in Unlimited Holofoil, which is what most copies on the market are and what the card page quotes by default, sits at less than half that. The $200 sales median describes the whole pool. Buy the printing you think you are buying, and check the stamp before the price.

Snorlax delta from Dragon Frontiers is the sleeper. A 2006 holo with a print run a fraction of Jungle's, and its recent sales median of $206 sits within two percent of its market price. That parity is what healthy, liquid pricing looks like, and it is rare for a card this old.

Skyridge Snorlax is the momentum pick: up 41% in 30 days and 46% over the quarter, riding the same e-series scarcity wave that has lifted the whole Skyridge set. The honest caveat is thinness. Only three recent sales back that move, with a median of $121 sitting under the $136 market. If you buy momentum, size the position for the liquidity that actually exists.

FireRed and LeafGreen Snorlax is the opposite trade: down 19.6% from spring with four real sales near $92. Nothing about the card changed. EX-era holos have been the market's slowest recovery story, and this is one of the few Snorlax prints you can buy twenty percent below its own recent history.

Snorlax V rounds out the list for anyone who wants the species without the outlay. At $11.45 with sales at $14, it trades every week, and Sword and Shield base is old enough that supply has stopped arriving.

All figures are moonstone market data pulled August 17, 2026: TCGplayer market prices, price histories for the 30 and 90 day windows, and recorded public sales with medians computed from actual transactions. The Market column is an ASK, the price sellers are listing at; the Median sale column is what copies actually traded for, and the two answer different questions. Where a card has more than one printing, the figure names the printing it describes: the Jungle Snorlax row is the 1st Edition Holofoil. No figure is modeled or estimated. Cards with data anomalies were excluded rather than smoothed. NOTE ADDED 2026-09-22 on an independent recompute: the per-card weekly series behind four of these six cards was truncated by a later refresh and no longer reaches August 2026, so the 30 and 90 day moves and the sales counts on this page cannot be re-derived from our current tape. The two that survive reproduce. This is market research, not financial advice.
